In Which the Ringmaster Considers Shutting Down TechBoBlogs
I created the TechBo blogs 3 years ago thinking that I could give artists and friends a fast, simple way to voice their thoughts on the internet. I pictured a small network of sites that locals could share thoughts.
Well, that never happened. In fact, other than my own ramblings, only the stalwart Xyon has posted anything in the last year and that was many months ago on his birding journal.
Complicating manners, b2evolution, the excellent blogging software that I use has a fatal flaw. I chose it because of it's anti-spam capabilities, but the anti-spam is too agressive, so a user is often unable to use more than a single html link in the entire post. Limiting at the very least.
I'm going to give it a couple more weeks then take the TechBo blogs to the house. Instead of multi-blogs, I'll be setting up more feature-rich and advanced blogs on an as-needed basis.
My own blog will be a drupal blog to be announced. I'm going to try to make it more personalized and feature rich than even TechBo. Other than a few general ideas, I don't know what it's final purpose will be, but it will definitely be me.
